Miranda Devine, writing for the New York Post, blew the lid off the FBI’s can of corruption regarding investigations into alleged January 6 rioters. Devine reported FBI Special Agent Steve Friend filed a whistleblower complaint last week with the DOJ inspector general alleging, “a politicized Wash-ington, DC, FBI field office cooking the books to exaggerate the threat of domestic terrorism, and using an ‘overzealous’ Jan. 6 investigation to harass conservative Americans and violate their constitutional rights.”

Friend is one of at least 20 FBI whistleblowers who have re-ported a politicized FBI to Republican members of Congress. Specifically, Friend alleges, “The Washington, DC, field office is ‘manipulating’ FBI case management protocol and farming out J6 cases to field offices across the country to create the false impression that right-wing domestic violence is a widespread national problem that goes far beyond the ‘black swan’ event of Jan. 6, 2021.”

In another statement, Friend alleged, “FBI domestic terrorism cases are being opened on innocent American citizens who were no-where near the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, based on anonymous tips to an FBI hotline or from Facebook spying on their messages.”

What did FBI Special Agent and SWAT team member Steve Friend receive for de-fending the Constitution and protecting the constitutional rights of “suspects” he was ordered to investigate? He was suspended, stripped of his gun and badge, and escorted out of the FBI field office in Daytona Beach, FL.

Rumors about administrations politicizing law enforcement and intelligence bureaus and agencies have been around for decades. Re-member when President Obama politicized the IRS to investigate local TEA Party organizations? Or, how about Operation Crossfire Hurricane inaugurated by the Obama administration to undermine candidate Trump’s campaign for president in 2016? That operation and resulting investigations lasted for years until all the allegations of Trump colluding with Russian were debunked and proven woefully wrong.

John Durham resigned as the U.S. Attorney for Connecticut in February 2021, but retained his position as special counsel reviewing the origins of the Russian investigation in the 2016 election. Some of the leaks that have come out of Durham’s investigation have indicated FBI involvement from then Director James Comey and a host of agents, as well as Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee. What a witches’ brew of corruption at the highest levels of federal government!

Nevertheless, the fear factor of armed federal agents raiding a family’s home based on Facebook postings is much higher than national figures wrestling over control of the whole nation. At least it does when the armed agents pop up at your door scaring your spouse and children. The FBI has targeted some people who didn’t even attend the January 6 event. That’s scary!

When the FBI, DOJ, and even the White House refuse to defend the Constitution and the rights guaranteed to citizens, how can the people defend themselves against bogus charges? It’s scary enough when they raid a former president’s home. It’s even scarier when they show up armed at neighbors’ homes.

Between now and the November election, look out for allegations and counter-allegations from all the various parties. Be especially careful about what you post on social media. Authorities may bypass the virtual jails and throw violators of misinformation into real jails with concrete blocks and iron bars.
