Betty A. Caire, 82, died peacefully at the Courtyard Health and Rehab Center in McComb, on February 25, 2026. She was surrounded and tended by her family from both near and far. Betty was from Randolph, WI. She is the daughter of the late, Renard Peter and Elizabeth Benes Alderden. As a young woman, she met Leo, a young airman. They talked all evening and he knew she was the one. They married in 1963, growing their family and moving around the country for work. Eventually settling in New Orleans for the majority of their life together. Betty loved the Lord and was heavily involved in her church family through choir and women's groups. She was beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She was a creative person that enjoyed travel, painting, sewing, gardening, thrifting and being with her family. She will truly be missed by those who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister Phyllis; and brother in-law, Rev. John Bandt. She is survived by her husband Leo L. Caire, Jr., they built a wonderful life and enjoyed 62 extraordinary years together. She is also survived by her children: Gigi E. Crespin, Leo L. Caire, III, Jennifer (Richard) Larson and Christina Jewell. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be Friday, March 6, from 12-Noon until 1PM followed by the service, and food and fellowship at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Joshua Strausser will officiate.
