Cecil P. Cutrer 1936 - 2025 Cecil P. Cutrer, 89, of McComb, passed away on September 24, 2025 at SMRMC in McComb surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be Saturday October 4, from 9 AM until services at 11 AM at New Heights Baptist Church in Summit. Rev. Barry Ward and Rev. Jim Futral will officiate. Cecil was born on September 11, 1936 in Osyka. He was the son of the late, Elliot and Hattie Hutcherson Cutrer.
Cecil was a retired electrician (Electrician Local #995) out of Baton Rouge, LA., and was a member of New Heights Baptist church, where he was very active in the church. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He loved Mississippi State football and building bird houses.
Cecil had a gift for making everyone feel seen and heard. His laughter could light up a room, and his generosity knew no bounds. Whether it was volunteering to help with vacation bible school this past summer at the age of 89 or helping out someone that may have an electrical problem they needed help with, he gave his time freely and with joy. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched. He will be sadly missed by those who loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
He is survived by his loving wife of 9 happy years, Nancy Guylene Compton Cutrer; 2 sons, Cecil P. “Sonny” Cutrer Jr., (Viola) and Christopher Cutrer (Cindy); 2 daughters, Sandra Gail Cutrer and Elizabeth Joy Martin (Tommy) with numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honorary pallbearers will be the McComb Market Coffee Club.
