Dorothy Ann Barron 1935 - 2025

Dorothy Ann Barron, 90, a resident of Summit, passed away on December 14, 2025 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones.

A visitation was held on December 17, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 9AM until services at 11AM. Rev. Alton Foster did officiate and burial was at East Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.

Dorothy was born on May 11, 1935 to the late Herman Wilson and Winnie McElveen Wilson.

She was an active member of East Fork Baptist Church.

She was a caregiver, always taking care of the elderly and her grandchildren. Her family always looked forward to Sunday lunches and holiday meals at her home. She loved to work in her flower garden and her vegetable garden. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband O.C. Barron; her son Wyatt Barron; and her grandson Brandon Jackson.

She is survived by 3 daughters Sharon Steele, Shawn Jackson (Ricky), and Kim Golden (Marc); a daughter-inlaw Kelly Barron; 5 grandchildren Micheal Barron, Shannon Stevens (Dwayne), Megan McCaskill (Landon), Kayla Brousseau (Jon), and Brent Barron (Kaylea); 7 great-grandchildren Alayna Hebert, Barron Brousseau, Wyatt Barron, D.J. Stevens, McKenzie Stevens, Carson Stevens, and Shelby Stevens; along with other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Marc Golden, Jon Brousseau, Landon McCaskill, Dwayne Stevens, D.J. Stevens, and Tim Wilkinson. Honorary

Pallbearers were John Newman and Ricky Jackson.
