Elaine Reed Reeves 1929 - 2025

Elaine Reed Reeves, 95, a resident of Summit, passed away at home on July 14, 2025.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 11AM until services at 12PM. Dr. David Millican will officiate.

Mrs. Reeves was born December 16, 1929, in Maben, Oktibbeha County, MS. She was the daughter of Charlie Dyle Reed and Ila Fulgham Reed.

She was a loving mother to three children. She was a member of Central Baptist Church for forty years.

Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Grady Reed and Doyle Reed; and a sister Edna Fulgham; also, her husband of 48 years T. Homer Reeves; and 2 sons Kenneth C. Reeves and J. Carl Reeves.

She is survived by her daughter K. Diane Reeves; and a sister Elner Reed Sisk; and a daughter-in-law Jill Reeves. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Ashley Girard (Jimmy), Matthew Reeves (Lisa), and Jason Reeves; and 2 stepgrandchildren Ernie Buisson and Ben Buisson. Along with 4 great grandchildren, Tennyson Cozart, Matty Cozart, Emery Reeves and Cash Girard; and 2 step-great-grandchildren Carson Girard and Katy Girard; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Reeves, Jason Reeves, Tennyson Cozart, Phillip Reed, Derek Reed and Jimmy Girard.
