Ella Wood Elmore

Ella Wood Elmore 1929 - 2025 Ella Wood Elmore was born April 6, 1929 and passed away April 30, 2025. Ella was a graduate of McComb High School and a resident of McComb her entire life.

She was a devout Christian who spent many years as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and aunt.

A graveside service was held May 2, at Hollywood Cemetery at 1PM. Diane Woodall did officiate. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa “Tesa” Elmore VanNorman (Mike); her grandsons, Josh Martin and Jim Martin; her daughter-in-law, Evelyn Elmore; her sister-inlaw, Harriett Wood; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her husband, B.F. “ Slim” Elmore; her son, Britt Elmore; her parents, Joseph and Ella Wood; her brothers, Glenn, J.O. and William Wood; her sisters, Edith McCulley, Mary Evelyn Nail, and Margaret Cassell.

She was much loved and will be missed by many. She can now rest in peace with her loved ones as they welcome her to her heavenly home.
