Jennie B. Norman 1950 - 2025 Jennie B. Norman, 75, of Summit, passed away on October 7, 2025 at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Visitation was held on Friday October 10, from 9AM until services at 11AM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Rev. Danny Speed did officiate and burial was in Hollywood cemetery in McComb. Jennie was born March 9, 1950 and was the youngest of 8 children born in Walthall County. She was the daughter of the late, Cullen L. and Grace Fortenberry Brumfield. She attended Tylertown Schools and Jackson Business College. She worked for Kellwood Co., as a secretary before marriage to Gene and moving to Hattiesburg. They later moved to Texas while her husband Gene served in the United States Air Force. She devoted her early years to raising 3 children. Jennie participated in The Pike County Arts council for numerous years as the head of makeup. In addition she also did makeup for McComb High-school plays for a number of years. Jennie was a member of Felder’s Church, she was active in PTA groups and was a member of the McComb Garden Club. Later she returned to work and opened a florist and gift shop which she ran for 13 years until health reasons led to her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents Grace and Cullen Brumfield; brothers Bob, Frank, Bill and Roland Brumfield; sisters Jean Coward and Lula Meadows. Jennie is survived by her husband Gene Norman; 1 brother, Jewell Brumfield (Evelyn); and 3 children Jason (Susie), Amber Carr (Brooks) and Cullen (Erin); and 7 grandchildren, Zoie Norman, Kori Harmon, Samantha Johnson, Brooks Carr III, Preston Carr, Marleigh Norman and Cullen Norman Jr.; as well as 4 great-grandchildren. She was also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Brian Brumfield, Steve Harbour, Brooks Carr, Raymond Mahar, Keagan Kennedy and Lance Morgan. Honorary pallbearers Joe Larimore, Benton Kennedy, James Coward and Troy Coward Jr.
