Joan Elizabeth Thornhill, 81, a resident of Jayess, passed away on March 13, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. A visitation was held Monday, March 16, from 9AM until services at 11AM at Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb. Dr. David Millican and Rev. Jimmy Phelps officiated and burial was in Enon Cemetery.

Joan was born April 21, 1944 in Tylertown. She was the daughter of the late Ellis L. and Tera Nations Thornhill. Joan retired as a Receiving Manager at Wal-Mart and was of the Pentecostal faith. She worked till she was 81 years of age and was part of the Enon Volunteer Fire department and First Responder for many of those years. She loved her Flea Market auctions where you would find her every Monday night, being outside with her flowers and her butterflies. She enjoyed a good crab-leg and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be sadly missed by those who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis L. Thornhill and Tera Nations Thornhill; her brother, E.F. Thornhill; brother and sister-in-law Noel and Shirley Thornhill; son-in-law, Clyde "Tommy" Reeves; grandson, Roman Scott Wallace; and great-grandson, Eli Shane Reed.

She is survived by her brother Ronnie Thornhill (Ann); her daughters, Darla Bracey (Mark) and Rhonda Reeves; and her son, Bradley Wallace; her 5 grandchildren: Danielle Burnette (Blaine), Megan Daix, Morgan Daix-Lloyd (Justin), Starleigh Wallace, Clyde "TJ" Reeves (Paula), and Jeremy "Bubba" Reeves; her 4 great-grandchildren, Parker Daix, Wyatt Runnels, Tucker Malone, and Brady Burnette; nieces and nephews; and a dear friend, Robert Peden.

Pallbearers were Nate Carney, Michael McCullough, Justin Magno Lloyd, Parker Daix, Tucker Malone, and Wyatt Runnels.
