John Ralph Grafton Jr., 86, of McComb, passed away on February 28, 2026 at SWRMC in McComb. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, from 11AM until services at 12-Noon at Navilla Baptist Church. Rev. Trent Bilbo will officiate and Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements. John was born in McComb on January 21, 1940. He was the son of the late, John Ralph Grafton Sr., and Doris Coney Grafton. John served in the U.S. Army as a cook and was a very active member of Navilla Baptist Church. He worked until he was eighty two years of age and decided to be a security guard working with MDOT. He loved his Lord and his church family. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing. He was a wonderful and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a huge supporter of his children and grandchildren at all of their events. He will be sadly missed by those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda White Grafton; his son John Grafton; a grandson Tony Bell; and a sister, Patricia Martin. He is survived by his 1 son Jeffery W. Grafton; 2 daughters, Edie Prescott (John), and Beverly Bell (Steve); 5 grandchildren, Danny (Alandra), Jordan, Caden, Grafton and Gavin; 1 great-grandchild Madelynn; 1 very special friend Billy Ray Nimon; with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
