Lavoyce A. Greer, 82 of McComb, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at the family residence in McComb.
She was born Tuesday, January 5, 1943 in Tylertown.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 18, from 9AM until time of service at 11AM at Enon Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Mike Alexander did officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Lavoyce was the resilient heart of her family, a woman whose profound love touched many. Lavoyce’s greatest joy was taking care of her family. She loved cooking for them and having family meals together.
Lavoyce enjoyed working outside and in her garden. Her garden was a vibrant testament to her discipline and patience. Her love for the outdoors wasn’t just a hobby; it was a reflection of her inner strength.
Above all, Lavoyce was a survivor. Life presented her with many challenges, but she overcame them with quiet determination. Lavoyce’s legacy is one of unwavering devotion, deep roots, and profound strength in a life lived fully and lovingly
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hughey Greer; father, Roy Alexander; mother, Aline Boyd; step-father, Arvilee Boyd; step-brother, Carey Boyd (Pearl); stepsister, Cybil Lang (Cecil).
Survivors include her son, Randy Greer (Robbey); daughters, Cheryl Greer Pigott (Randall), and Tamara Greer Fowler; brother, Vernon Alexander (Sue); grandchildren, Kaylee Pigott, Loran Pigott, Tabitha Fowler, Wade Greer, Caden Wilson, Reagan Wilson and Chasity Reid.
Pallbearers were Wade Greer, Caden Wilson, Mike Alexander, Kenny Alexander, John “Buzzy” Rogers, Randell “Butch” Pigott Jr.
