Monday, May 18th, the Walthall County GOP, will welcome Richard Boyanton and Mississippi's Attorney General, Lynn Fitch. Richard Boyanton is a candidate for Lt. Governor in the 2027 election cycle.

Boyanton studied pre-law at the University of New Orleans. His career experiences include working 45 years in manufacturing. He owns his own business located on the Gulf Coast. He is a Vietnam veteran, serving four years in the Army where he received the Purple Heart. His organizational affiliations include the N.R.A. and the Chamber of Commerce.

Some of his beliefs on what Mississippi needs now include more businesses providing newer and better workforce opportunities with insurance for employees, newer and improved prison systems, ways to improve and rebuild roadways, and more honest people in our government.

Boyanton ran for election to the US Senate in 2018 against Roger Wicker.

Lynn Fitch was the 40th Attorney General and the first woman ever elected Attorney General on Jan 9, 2020 and reelected for a 2nd term in 2023.

Raised in Holly Springs, Mississippi, she earned her BA in Business Administration and a Juris Doctorate at UM by the age of 23. She has served in many positions within the state in both private and public service.

Before becoming the state Attorney General, General Fitch was elected State Treasurer for eight years. Gov. Barbour appointed her to serve as the Executive Director of the Mississippi State Personnel Board. She later served on numerous other Boards including Council for the Mississippi House of Representatives Ways and Means and Local and Private Legislation Committees.

She has been an outstanding leader on numerous state committees and Chairs. TIME, in 2022, named General Fitch to its list of 100 most influential people in the world and Worth Magazine named her to its Worthy 100 for her work protecting women and children. She is recognized as one of Mississippi's Top 50 Most Influential for four years. She has received numerous other awards and recognitions including, but not limited to, Honoree of the Women in Government Leadership Program by Governing Magazine.

She is also active in her community. She has served on many boards including First Responders of Mississippi, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Goodwill Industries, and the American Red Cross.

On Monday, May 18th, please join us to hear from these two outstanding leaders and their their plans for the 2027 election. You will have an opportunity to address your questions to each.
