Marvin H. Varnado, 72, a resident of Summit, passed away on March 8, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. A visitation was held at Tangipahoa Baptist Church on Wednesday, March 11, from 5PM until 8PM and continued on Thursday, March 12, from 9AM until services at 11AM. Burial followed in the church cemetery and Bro. Mike Morris did officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Peoples Undertaking Co. of McComb is in charge of arrangements. Marvin was born in New Orleans, LA on July 16, 1953 to the late Landon and Esther Varnado. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Karen Little. He is survived by his wife of 28 years Loretta Lynn Varnado; 2 children Tommy (Kayla) Varnado and Missy (Clay) Hudgins; 3 stepchildren Christi Haley, Angela Haley, and Rusty Banks; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; along with other relatives and friends. Pallbearers were Craig Varnado, T.J. Varnado, Caleb Hudgins, Dalton Hinds, and Lindsey King.
