Mary Dean Beasley Artmann 1946 - 2025 Mary Dean Beasley Artmann, age 79, peacefully passed away into the arms of her Heavenly Father, at her daughter’s residence in Summit, on November 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and gentle strength that will endure for generations. She was born September 9, 1946, in Amite County, to Robert Luther and Mable Callender Beasley. Visitation was held Monday, December 1, from 11AM until time of services at 1PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Liberty. Interment immediately followed at Blalock Cemetery under the direction of C a t c h i n g s - S h a r k e y Funeral Home.

She devoted her life to loving God, serving her family, and lifting others with her kindness and light. Her testimony was strong, her prayers heartfelt, and her devotion to reading the scriptures unwavering. She found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures-writing poetry that touched hearts, piecing together puzzles with patience and skill, and spending quiet moments with her favorite wordseek books. She celebrated every holiday with enthusiasm, ensuring each one felt warm, special, and full of loveand good food. Her happiest moments were always those spent surrounded by her family, where her nurturing spirit shone brightest. She was a devoted and wonderful mother. Her presence brought comfort, her counsel brought peace, and her love brought strength.

She was retired. She worked at Blalock’s Food Center for many years after having worked on the family chicken farm, Service Master and Croft Metals. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers--Robert Lum Beasley and David Carroll Beasley; and 2 sisters--Janie Mae Baggett and Ruby Francis Carraway.

Survivors include 2 sons, James R. Artmann Jr. (Laura), and John F. Artmann (Jacqui); 1 daughter, Kristy Artmann; 2 grandsons, Ashton Drake and Gavin Artmann; and twin granddaughters, Alaina Elise and Cassie Elaine Carlisle.

Though she has returned home to Heavenly Father, her memory will continue to bless all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her faith, her love, and her beautiful spirit will remain forever in our hearts.
