CELEBRATING SCOOTER MOUSE AND MISS MATTIE--- At the recent dedication of The Mattie Rials Memorial Library, Mrs. Alice Mitchell signed copies of her Scooter Mouse books, published by the Magnolia Gazette and based on Miss Mattie’s characters. Here, dressed as Scooter Mouse and so happy with their copies of Alice’s books are: Jackson Brister-McDaniel, Karinlee Brister, and Kathrynlee Brister-McDaniel, all of McComb, with Mrs. Alice Mitchell. Lampton) RICKY NOBILES CARTOONS, SEE A2 & A3 SCOOTER MOUSE GIVEN SCOOTER BY MISS MAT-TIE IN BALLET--- At the dedication of The Mattie Rials Library in McComb last Saturday, the Rejoice Dance Academy performed an original ballet play based on the book “Scooter Mouse Finds the Library” by Alice Mitchell, based on stories told by Miss Mattie Rials. Lampton) SCOOTER MOUSE FINDS THE LIBRARY BALLET--- At the dedication of The Mattie Rials Library in McComb last Saturday, the Rejoice Dance Academy performed an original ballet play based on the book “Scooter Mouse Finds the Library” by Alice Mitchell, based on stories told by Miss Mattie Rials. Lampton) THE MATTIE RIALS MEMORIAL LIBRARY DEDICAT-ED--- Last Saturday morning, May 3, The Mattie Rials Memorial Library was dedicated officially in McComb. A photograph of Miss Mattie and a marker are now at the entrance with flowers and a lovely yellow ribbon. Miss Mattie was remembered for her countless contributions to our community with events at the library all day, including a ballet based on her character Scooter Mouse and signings of books based on Scooter by Alice Mitchell.
