Mattie Rials Memorial Library Dedication

CELEBRATING SCOOTER MOUSE AND MISS MATTIE--- At the recent dedication of The Mattie Rials Memorial Library, Mrs. Alice Mitchell signed copies of her Scooter Mouse books, published by the Magnolia Gazette and based on Miss Mattie’s characters. Lampton) THE MATTIE RIALS MEMORIAL LIBRARY DEDICAT-ED--- Last Saturday morning, May 3, The Mattie Rials Memorial Library was dedicated officially in McComb. A photograph of Miss Mattie and a marker are now at the entrance with flowers and a lovely yellow ribbon. Miss Mattie was remembered for her countless contributions to our community with events at the library all day, including a ballet based on her character Scooter Mouse and signings of books based on Scooter by Alice Mitchell.
