Michael D. Rebold, age 82, passed away on June 5, 2026 at Aston Court in McComb. He was born August 17, 1943 to the late Houston C. Rebold and Steavie Goings Rebold. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Branson, MO. Mike had a bachelor's degree in education and psychology from USM in Hattiesburg, MS. His career included 15 years in child abuse, 10 years in adoption, and 5 years as a Regional Director for MS Department of Children and Family Services. He was very proud to have placed 199 children in loving homes. Mike was not only a talented athlete, but also a dedicated community member. He volunteered as the first football coach for Parklane Academy in McComb, as well as coaching PeeWee football in Magnolia. Mike's legacy as an athlete and a mentor will forever be cherished by those who knew him. He retired to Branson, MO where he became a member of the Little Buddy Program. He was paired with several children through the years to whom he provided a positive role model. He is survived by 1 son, Michael Craig Rebold; and 1 daughter, Tracey Rebold; 6 grandchildren Jennifer Nicole Morgan, Jessica Ready, Brittany Rebold, Tori Rebold, Margaret Melissa Greco, and Brandi Buie; 4 greatgrandchildren and a special cousin Nick Rebold of McComb. Very special thanks to Hospice Compassus and the staff at Aston Court. There will be a private memorial for family only at HartmanJones Funeral Home at a later date.
