Peggy R. Bridges

Peggy R. Bridges, 92, a resident of McComb, passed away on January 2, 2026, at her residence.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, January 7, at Hartman Jones Funeral Home from 5PM until 7PM and continued Thursday, January 8, at First Assembly of God from 10AM until services at 11AM. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery. Rev. Bradley Rushing, Rev. Jim Dalton, and Rev. Mack Bryant did officiate. Hartman Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Peggy was born on June 10, 1933 to the late Marvin Rushing and Christine McKenzie Dunn in Fernwood.

She was a devout Christian, who loved being an active member and volunteer of First Assembly of God. She deeply loved her family, friends, and never met a stranger.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 26 years and father of her children Robert 'Bobby' Bridges; her stepmother Hazel Martin; a brother Doye Rushing; a sister Hilda Brown; and a sister-in-law Nan Rushing.

She is survived by her children Lamar Bridges, Debbie Loeber (Gary), Donna Bridges (Bob), and Bruce Bridges; 4 grandchildren Michelle Mathews (Alan), Vicki Sanderlin, Tara McConnell, and Sunie Bridges; 7 great-grandchildren Abby, Cole, Hannah, Seth, Ashlyn, Zayden, and Katy; 2 brothers Laroy and Zach Rushing (Rosemary); 1 brother-in-law Milton Brown; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Laroy Rushing, Zach Rushing, Milton Brown, Randy Rushing, Gary Rushing, Bradley Rushing, Jay Brown, John Brown, Pete McDaniel and Wade Rushing.
