Richard Allen Carona Jr.

Richard Allen Carona, Jr., 62, a resident of McComb, passed away at SMRMC on January 22, 2026. A graveside will be held at a later date.

Richard was born on November 25, 1963 to the late Richard Allen Carona Sr. and Glenda Ruth Harrell Arickson. He was a hard working truck driver. He loved his family and spent as much time as he could with them while working. He served in the US Army during Desert Storm, Panama, and Grenada. He enjoyed working on his project 70 Charger and riding his motorcycle. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his sons. He also enjoyed a little bit of coffee with his sugar.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Scotland Travis Carona; his grandson Lincoln Isaac Carona; and 1 niece Ashley Elaine Wren.

He is survived by 2 sons Matthew Allen (Hillary) Carona and Zachary Allen Carona; 7 grandchildren; 3 siblings Vincent A. (Gretchen) Carona, Christopher R. Carona, and Carolee A. (Melvin) Carter; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
