Robert L. King, 67, of Summit, passed away at his residence surrounded by his loving family on February 26, 2026. No services to be announced at this time. Hartman-Jones Funeral Home of McComb is in charge of arrangements. Robert was born in McComb, on July 21, 1958. He was the son of the late, Henry L. and Mary Dunaway King. Robert was a mechanic and of the Baptist faith. He collected all things 'Budweiser'; he also enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He loved and enjoyed being with the grandchildren and always had a smile. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He loved everybody and hated drama, but will be sadly missed by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 1 sister Alice Wooley. He is survived by his wife of 30 happy years, Avis Woodall King; 1 daughter, Lynett R. King Wooley; 1 brother, James 'Albert' King; 1 sister, Cynthia Hodges; 1 'aunt cooter' Jannilla King; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
