Rona Elizabeth "Libby" Hill

Rona Elizabeth "Libby" Hill, 94, a resident of Summit, passed away on May 11, 2026 at McComb Community Care.

A graveside service was held on May 16, at Macedonia Methodist Church at 3PM. Bro. Hunter Wooldridge did officiate and Hartman Jones Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Libby was born on October 3, 1931 to the late Daniel Alven Jennings and Verona Pearl Edwards Jennings. She was an active member of West McComb Baptist Church. She was a member of many organizations including the Daughter's of the American Revolution Judith Robinson Chapter, The McComb Order of the Eastern Star, Sunny Hill Club, Yesterday's Kids, and The Red Hat Society. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years Charlie Hill; and 2 sisters Kathleen Eaton and Era Jennings.

She is survived by her son Charles A. Hill (Diane); her grandson Joshua D. Hill (Amanda); her granddaughter Elizabeth Adams; her 5 great-grandchildren Michael Lee Haygood, Adam T. Haygood, Jessica E. Hill, Jacob A. Hill, and Samantha Dunn; her 3 great-great grandchildren Eric Dunn, Jeremy Davis Haygood, and Blakeleigh Haygood; her sister Peggy Parker; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Pallbearers were Adam Haygood, Michael Lee Haygood, Mike Poss, and Joshua Hill.
