Leglue 1953 - 2025

Sandra Kay Leglue, 72, of McComb, passed away November 15, 2025, at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. No arrangements have been made at this time. A celebration of life will be planned at a later date. Hartman Jones Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Sandra was born in McComb, on June 2, 1953, to Billy “Bill” Riley and Ernestine “Teny” Riley.

She was known by many for working in the bakery at Walmart of McComb for over 12 years before retiring. Sandra was a very loved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Through the years she has made several very special friendships, Marion Allen and Nadine Etheridge were her closest friends and she loved them dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Betty Jones; her brother Mike Riley; sister-in-law Nancy Riley; daughter Heather Leglue; and granddaughter Katelyn Pigott.

She is survived by her son John “Chris” Howell; daughter Alicia Pigott; 6 grandchildren Hunter Howell, Megan Flanary (Dustin), Sydney Howell, Chase Howell, Meredith Howell, Kristopher Pigott; 2 great-grandchildren Sophia Flanary and Brooks Flanary; sister Fran Hooge (David), and multiple nieces and nephews.

Special recognition goes to her nephew Dustin “Dusty” Riley (Courtney) for all the love and assistance given, her niece Marcie Jones (Brad) for being there and talking us through everything, the nursing staff in the ICU at Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center, Dr. Dixon, and Dr. Middleton for the wonderful care they gave.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in her name to the Humane Society of Louisiana.
