Southwest’s ‘Growling Wood’ Disc Golf Course Open to Public

After much anticipation, the Southwest Mississippi Community College Growling Wood Disc Golf Course is open and available to the general public.

It is located on the front (west) side of campus and stretches as far as behind the Southwest Police Station.

The 18-hole course presents challenges to the competitor as they will have to face water hazards as well as trees and other obstacles. The course is free to play and participants must bring their own discs.

Each hole features a QR code on the tee boxes providing the player with a digital map of the course.
