Blessings were ours to receive as we met at our Lord’s House last Sunday to worship. Music was wonderful as we sang praises to our Lord. It so good to have our Music Leader Dennis Lea back with us after being out because of illness. Bro. Kent Campbell brought wonderful messages in the morning and evening service.

Sunday afternoon funeral services were held at Terry’s Creek Baptist Church for Kaden Jace Reeves, son of Stacy Thomas and Jason Reeves. Kaden passed from this life Wednesday, March 19.

Kaden was an avid outdoorsman who spent every available moment in the woods, cutting trails, walking, and sitting on the creek bank just soaking up the sun and enjoying nature. He delighted in the small things whether it be a flower bloom, a bird song or watching squirrel’s scurry. He was a gentle soul who did no harm.

A 2022 graduate of North Pike High School, Kaden graduated with honors and continued his education at Southwest MS Community College where he served on the SMCC Band and Stage Band Crew, was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and was a talented artist showing several pieces of his work. He would have graduated in May. Kaden was twin to brother Kylen and while they may have been opposites, the bond between twins is strong. He was big brother to Jaylee and the love between them was just as strong.

Kaden was living with his Grandmother Dot Reeves of Friendship community for the past 2 years. Burial was in Terry’s Creek Cemetery.

This great-aunt had a special love for Kaden and was always happy to see him. I will surely miss him also.

This coming Saturday our church will have the Ladies Luncheon with Barbie Bassett in the fellowship hall. Time will be 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.
