CATHERINE BROWN Terry’s Creek News
Blessings were ours to receive as we met to worship our Lord last Sunday. Bro. Kent Campbell welcomed everyone and shared the announcements for the coming week.
Then the children came forward to the front as Bonnie McDaniel shared the story with them. They always look forward to this time in our service each Sunday.
Sharing the special music was Dennis Lea as he sang “Glorious Day”. Bro. Kent Campbell shared a wonderful message from God’s Word with us. Was a blessing to have been in the House of our Lord. R e s u r r e c t i o n Sunday will have Sunrise service at 7:00 a.m.; Easter Cantata at 7:30 a.m. 8:15 am-Church Wide breakfast. After the breakfast the children will have an Easter Egg Hunt.
Last Saturday, April 12, the children had a wonderful outing. They loaded the van with 9 children and 2 adults and headed off to Hammond.
Their first stop was at Cate Square Park downtown where the children enjoyed the beautiful sunshine and playground. After a little playtime, they all gathered in the park gazebo for lunch of Jimmy John’s sandwiches, chips, and pink lemonade.
The group then loaded back in the van and traveled to AMC Theatre where waiting at the counter for them was each child a goodie box with popcorn, drink, and candy. The group found their seats in the theatre and watched “The King of Kings”, an animated movie, created by Angel Studios where a father tells his son the greatest story ever told, and what begins as a bedtime tale becomes a life-changing journey. Through vivid imagination, the boy walks alongside Jesus, witnessing His miracles, facing His trials, and understanding His ultimate sacrifice. The King of Kings invites us to rediscover the enduring power of hope, love, and redemption through the eyes of a child. After the movie, they returned home with everyone being dropped off by the church van. It was a wonderful day of fun and fellowship!
Those enjoying the wonderful day and trip were Eaton Sinclair, Emalee Roberts, Kaiden Honea, Lila Wilson, Ainsleigh Baumgarten, Jordyn Cooper, Kross Wilson, Piper Sinclair, and Tinslee Rutland. Chaperones were Ashley Simmons and Dana Fortinberry.
God Bless till next week.
