CATHERINE BROWN Terry’s Creek News Bro. Kent Campbell Welcome everyone to our worship service last Sunday morning. After announcements Bonnie McDaniel shared the story with the children which they enjoy so much. Our Music Director Dennis Lea led us in Patriotic hymns last Sunday. Special music was by Dennis Lea. Then Bro. Kent Campbell shared God’s word with us. Was good to have been in the House of our Lord. The week of June 30th, Terry’s Creek Baptist Church children, grades 2-6, as well as a group from East Union Baptist Church, traveled to Louisiana Christian University in Pineville, La to attend Centrikid, Lifeway’s summer camp that teaches Biblical principles through Bible study, meals, worship, and games. Each day was jam packed with fun with the focus on God. They learned about Matthew 12:3-31; Higher Command, Love God, Love Others. The week was filled with praising God with song and dance, learning about Him through daily Bible study groups, and lots of games. Those attending were Eaton Sinclair, Emalee Roberts, Lila Wilson, Kaiden Onea and Jordyn Cooper, as well as chaperones Ashley Simmons and Billy Lee. Fun was had by all!! The group is ready for next year! Funeral services were held for my daughter Barbara Brown Coghlan last Saturday morning at Hartman Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Millican officiating. Thank you Bro. Millican for the words of comfort you shared. Burial was in Terry’s Creek Cemetery. Our wonderful ladies of the Church prepared a meal for the Family after the services. We thank each one of you for the love and prayers you shared with my Family and I. The Brotherhood met for their breakfast and meeting at 8:00 am last Sunday morning. The Golden Agers will meet at the church Friday at 10:15 A.M. to go on the van to Poppa’s in Brookhaven. The Golden Agers for the Week is John Milton Bond, so remember him with a card or visit this week. Take a cup of kindness, mix it well with love, add a lot of patience and faith in God above. “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciples, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42 This is the day to develop kindness. It is closely related to greatness and adds to the enjoyment of living for you and those around you.” God Bless each of you!
