Vennie Janette “Jan” Etheridge 1949 - 2025 Vennie Janette “Jan” Etheridge, 75 years old, of McComb, died peacefully at SRMC surrounded by her loving family on January 10.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 18, at 10AM in Enon Cemetery. Rev. Demond Kennedy will officiate.

Vennie was born on December 19, 1949, in Mississippi to the late, Jewell and Bernice Mulford Magee.

Vennie was a homemaker and a member of Charis International Church of God in McComb. Jan was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who most enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord and was known by all she encountered, of her kindness and Christian spirit. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. A special thanks to the staff at McComb Nursing and Rehab, Southwest Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room Department and Intensive Care Unit for their care.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Earl Etheridge; 1 brother, Sammy Jewell Magee; 2 sisters, Betty Ruth Thornhill and Nola Faye Boyd; and a stepdaughter Melissa Arena.

She is survived by 2 sons and their spouses, Brian Etheridge (Tish) and Brad S. Etheridge (Danessa); a stepson David Etheridge (Melissa), and a stepdaughter Melanie Holman; 4 grandchildren, Austin Etheridge, Joel Etheridge, Madison Etheridge and Emma Etheridge; with numerous other nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
